It’s time to pay our respects to Honda for giving the world generations of trailblazing road cars — with the EDIFICE Honda TYPE R Edition.
This collaboration timepiece celebrates the passion for high-performance motorsports shared by EDIFICE and the Honda TYPE R, the pinnacle of Honda’s sports car models. These premium-grade sports cars bring both the speed and outstanding driving pleasure of a racecar to the road earning the TYPE R the distinction of being the only road car to sport the iconic “Red H” badge. Meeting with the head developer of the Honda TYPE R cars, the EDIFICE development team was inspired by the Honda concept of introducing the “true essence” and “sense” of racing to the road car, and set out to integrate these ideas into the design of the EDIFICE Honda TYPE R Edition.
The “true essence” of racing is reflected in the timepiece’s readability and fit. Glow-in-the-dark paint applied to the index marks and hands ensures outstanding readability, while the genuine-leather band with its deployment buckle and Alcantara material lining ensures an even more comfortable fit.
Turning to the “sense” of racing, this timepiece feels almost like “wearing” a Honda TYPE R car on your wrist. The design is packed with symbols of the TYPE R — the “Red H” badge, authentic Championship White paint, buttons featuring the R mark, the TYPE logo on the band loop and case back, and the Alcantara material and red stitching actually used in the interior of TYPE R cars. Finally, the entire TYPE R lineage is honored with iconic TYPE R model codes printed on the white leather band.
The case is made with carbon fiber-reinforced resin for both strength and lightness.
